Well, it was strange when i got a call from Sandhya telling that she found my number on naukri, but she was calling for a trek to roopkund (www.roopkund.com), in the Himalayas, i was pretty excited and went around checking with people, and Raghu, Bhaktha joined in and Harendra joined eventually after a lot of contemplation. Things looked good and we started preparing for the trek. Althought another person and we would have got free pick up from Bangalore.
Sept30: after last minute shopping for all the things, met up and decided on how to go about the trek and we had a flight to catch at 0600 next morning, and as usual went on with some last minute shopping for some extra chocolates in the night. called Meru Cabs, arranged for pickup at 0330 to Airport.
Oct1: well, isnt this picture cool? courtesy: @#$#%!!! Meru cabs we met with accident. We started at 0330 from my place, picked up Raghu and went ahead and got Bhaktha as well and heading for Airport when our cab rammed into another car at about 80kmph, well our lucky stars saved us with a couple of deep cuts and ajm injury to my left eye and Raghu with a face covered with blood, his injury on his right eyebrow!Even more shocking, Meru people were least bothered about providing any first aid, thanks to the the locals and police insisting that Meru sent another cab eventually after about 30mins to the scene, took to some hospital nearby and left us stranded with our luggage! we went around got our stitches...
